Nokia 6 is total hit in China and HMD Global can’t catch up with the demand. But according to latest leaks there might be much more exciting stuff coming from the reborn brand – the return of the famous N-series.

A trademark for “NSERIES” appeared in China’s Patent Office, filed by the Finnish company. Then on the social network Baidu appeared a screenshot from a conversation with a picture with a smart device along with an NSERIES logo next to it.

The source says the device will have 6th generation Snapdragon, but ends the convo without revealing more details. The claim is that initial production target of NSERIES device is 500,000 units.

If a report is to be believed, HMD Global may be planning to revive Nokia’s legendary ‘N-Series’, a line-up that used to be synonymous with Nokia’s most feature-packed phones.

HMD Global has filed a trademark request for ‘N-Series’ with Chinese State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC). The documents, as mentioned by a report on Android Headlines website, were spotted on the agency’s website.

A user also posted an image showing the ‘N-Series’ logo alongside a smart device. It’s also been mentioned that the device will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6xx series SoC, which puts it in the mid-range segment.

It’s been said that HMD has an initial production target of 500,000 units for the rumoured ‘N-series’ device.

While the comeback of the Nokia brand is in itself pretty nostalgic for most of us, the revival of the N-Series is going to be even more exciting. The original N-Series came in the market back in 2005 and entered India in 2006.

Nokia N70 was one of the first handsets in the series to enter India. It featured a 2MP camera and a 2.1-inch display. The smartphone ran on Symbian Series 60 OS and had 22MB of in-built storage.
