If you take a survey from smartphone users these days, battery life of the phone tops their concern list. Even though the battery department hasn’t advanced in a decade, smartphone makers are coming up with technologies including fast charging and battery efficient chipsets to overcome the problem.
On an average, most smartphones last 1-2 days before the battery is completely depleted. While everyone is waiting for the perfect replacement to come out to market, there is this gadget to juice up your smartphone, speakers and other devices just by holding a ball that generates clean electricity from the palm of your own hands. Sounds crazy, isn’t it?
Named as “HandEnergy”, this Kickstarter project is described as pocket electricity generator similar to the power bank. In terms of physical overview, it looks like a cricket ball and produces electricity via magnetic rotor through motion generation, when it is rotated in your hand.
When the motion is generated, the magnetic rotor transmits mechanical power to the stator and produce an electric current, charging the built-in batteries and that current is passed through USB to your device.
This HandEnergy is now available for pre-order at $79 (approx Rs. 5,264) on Indiegogo and is expected to ship in July.
